 interview with tom felton
      - nickelodeon magazine november 2002

Questions are shown in bold

How is Malfoy different in this movie?

I'm a lot nastier. I decided after watching the first one that I wasn't nasty enough

What is it like playing such a nasty person?

It's more fun. Personally, I prefer it. It's different from how I normally am.

What was the hardest scene for you to do?

I found Quidditch quite tough. It's hard to imagine that you're racing on a broomstick and chasing a magic golden ball when you're actually in front of a big blue screen. But I got used to it after a while. .

Do you have a favorite Harry Potter book?

To be honest with you, I haven't read any of them. I think I'm the only person on the set who hasn't. I wanted to get more into the script. I thought I'd go with what Chris Columbus (the director) says-see what he wants out of the character.

Do you think acting will be your career?

No, I don't. My plan is to do acting until I'm sixteen, then travel for a year, fishing with my brother. I want to go to fishery management college. They teach you how to run fisheries. My brother went there, and I've decided to go as well.

How do you relax after a long day of working on the set?

I go home and watch an hour of The Simpsons.

You and Daniel, too. Which house at Hogwarts would you want to be in?

Oh, Slytherin all the way. Gryffindor is far too goody-goody.

If there was a Tom Felton sandwich, what would be in it?

About three rashers (slices) of bacon, a massive burger, a couple of sausages, and a fried egg. It's very fatty and not very healthy for you, but I'm sure it would taste absolutely gorgeous
