Andy Serkis plays Gollum in The Two Towers /AP

The scene involved Andy Serkis as Gollum pretending to be interviewed as if he was on American TV channel E!

In the comedic scene Gollum reveals that he auditioned for the role of Dobby in Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets.

But he says he missed out on the role because he "didn't have big enough ears".

Serkis tells www.cinescape.com, the scene also involved Gollum getting a call from his manager: "The phone rang and it was his agent who just got him a reality TV programme".

It's not known whether the public will ever get the chance to see the spoof.

THE TWO TOWERS' Gollum, Andy Serkis, tells CINESCAPE of a spoof take.

Serkis says, "This was motion captured earlier this year. I can't wait to see it because they're going to animate over a motion capture I did. It was like an E! interview. They talked to me about how Gollum prepared each day for work and then the phone rang and it was his agent who just got [him] a reality TV program. Then Jar-Jar phoned up, and he said [in Gollum's voice,] 'Hey Jar-Jar, how's it going?' And then Dobby popped up. He said he auditioned for Dobby but didn't have big enough ears."
